The Forgotten Legion

In the final years of the Roman Republic, the enslaved twins Romulus and Fabiola are separated when their family is sold. Romulus is sent to a gladiator school, where he comes under the protection of Brennus, a renowned Gallic fighter, while Fabiola is forced into a brothel and becomes entangled with powerful Romans. Their story intersects with Tarquinius, an Etruscan warrior and seer, as Crassus leads his army east against Parthia. Romulus, Brennus and Tarquinius are drawn into the doomed campaign, and the surviving legionaries are carried far beyond Rome’s frontiers.
