Hunting the Eagles
Five years after the Teutoburg massacre, Lucius Cominius Tullus is demoted, scarred and still tormented by the loss of his legion. He returns to Germania with the Roman army commanded by Germanicus, determined to punish Arminius and recover the eagle standard taken from his men.
The Roman columns raid villages and advance deep into hostile territory while Arminius gathers warriors to oppose them. Tullus believes his eagle is close and repeatedly risks himself and his legionaries to follow every lead. As ambushes, divided loyalties and worsening conditions threaten the expedition, he must choose how far to pursue the standard before Arminius closes in and forces the Romans into another major battle.
