Clash of Empires

After Hannibal’s defeat at Zama, the brothers Felix and Antonius remain in the Roman army as the Republic turns from Carthage towards Macedon and Greece. The ambitious Titus Quinctius Flamininus seeks the command that will make his name, while King Philip V prepares to defend and enlarge his kingdom. Demetrios, a poor Macedonian oarsman who longs to join the phalanx, is given the chance to become a soldier.

Rome’s invasion brings Felix and Demetrios into the same campaign on opposing sides. Flamininus must recover from setbacks, control rival officers and win support among the Greek states, while Philip struggles to hold his army and alliances together. Their manoeuvres lead to a final battle between the Roman legions and the Macedonian phalanx, with control of Greece at stake.
