Charles James Fox

1749–1806

Charles James Fox was a British Whig politician and one of the most prominent parliamentary figures of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. He opposed royal influence, supported American independence, criticised the slave trade and was a fierce rival of William Pitt the Younger.
