Book
The Odin Mission
First published 2008
In April 1940, Sergeant Jack Tanner and the King’s Own Yorkshire Rangers are sent to Norway as German forces seize ports and airfields. Poor planning, weak communications and enemy air superiority place the British expedition in retreat before it can establish a secure position.
Tanner is ordered to protect an intelligence officer carrying information of strategic importance. The small party must cross occupied country while pursued by German troops and compromised by uncertainty about whom they can trust. The mission tests Tanner’s loyalty to his men against orders whose purpose cannot be explained to them.
