After Manila, Deacon Cole and Patrol Easy board an Andromeda-class attack cargo ship bound for the Kerama Islands. Japanese suicide speedboats based there threaten the fleet assembling for the invasion of Okinawa, and the patrol is ordered to destroy the boats and the shore facilities supporting them.

Enemy fire follows the soldiers from ship to island, while severe Pacific weather threatens both the mission and the vessels offshore. Deke must fight across exposed coastal ground as a typhoon approaches, placing the patrol between a determined Japanese defence and a storm capable of wrecking the invasion fleet. The book is scheduled for publication in June 2027.
