Lord of the Atlas
First published 2021
Marrakesh, 1893. Former officer Harry Delhaze is broke and disgraced when an old comrade offers him paid service helping the Moroccan sultan suppress a rebellion. The expedition appears to provide a route back to honour, but the men employing him are divided by money, influence and incompatible plans for the country's future.
Captured in the Atlas Mountains, Harry encounters a warlord whose ambitions extend beyond a local uprising. Survival requires him to recover the discipline he has lost and determine which promises still bind him when foreign adventurers, palace interests and armed rebels all intend to use him.
