In the weeks before D-Day, Special Operations Executive agent Felicity “Flick” Clariet leads an unsuccessful assault on a telephone exchange that controls German military communications in northern France. With her Resistance network damaged and the invasion approaching, she is given one final opportunity to destroy the target.
Because the installation is guarded against another conventional attack, Flick recruits and trains an all-woman team to enter in disguise. The Jackdaws must work through occupation, betrayal and German counter-intelligence while mastering unfamiliar roles under severe time pressure. Their mission connects sabotage behind enemy lines with the wider preparations for the Normandy landings.
