Odin’s Betrayal

In AD 853, nine-year-old Charles is forced to flee East Francia after his father is murdered and entrusts him with a mysterious package. His only hope lies with Sven the Boar, the Danish grandfather he has never met, whose son was left as a Frankish hostage after a failed Viking raid. Pursued by men serving rival Frankish kings, Charles enters a world divided by dynastic conflict and opposing faiths. Sven must decide whether to protect the Christian child and uncover why the legacy of Charlemagne has made him a target.
