Robert Baden-Powell was a British Army officer and founder of the Scout movement. His fame grew after the Siege of Mafeking during the Second Boer War, and he later turned military scouting ideas into a global youth organisation.
Robert Baden-Powell also held the offices or ranks of Baron Baden-Powell, baronet, Chief Scout, and member of the House of Lords. Robert Baden-Powell was born in Paddington and died in Nyeri.
