Billy Boyle is convicted on fabricated black-market charges, stripped of his rank and offered a single way to avoid hard labour. He must parachute into occupied France immediately before D-Day and investigate murders at an Allied safe house in Chaumont.
Working with a small team behind enemy lines, Billy has only hours to identify the killer before the invasion transforms the region into a battlefield. The mission then becomes an escape operation, forcing him to lead agents and civilians through German patrols while deciding whether the murderer is still among the people depending on him for survival.
