Christine Granville

Christine Granville, born Krystyna Skarbek, was a Polish-born intelligence agent who worked for Britain during the Second World War. One of the earliest and longest-serving female agents associated with the Special Operations Executive, she carried out missions in occupied Europe and helped secure the release of fellow agents facing execution in France.

Christine Granville also held the offices or ranks of Special Operations Executive agent and Officer of the Order of the British Empire. Christine Granville was born in Warsaw and died in London.
