Codename Omega

England, 1985. Triple S agent Peter Stone is believed dead after being shot near Liverpool Docks by Leonora, the woman both he and Nick Marriott love. At the same time, an IRA cell led by Kevin Reilly prepares a major operation, and arrested militant Margaret Donnelly refuses to reveal the organisation’s plans. The apparent murder and the terrorist threat are connected by evidence that cannot be tested through ordinary interrogation.

Omega goes undercover as a violent extremist to gain Donnelly’s confidence and enter Reilly’s network. The role demands that she convince both the prisoners and her own colleagues that she has crossed a line, while the operation’s legality becomes increasingly uncertain. Codename Omega is the revised title of The Fidelio Affair, first published in 1985, and continues the same Triple S characters introduced in A Woman Called Omega.
