In 1367, Thomas Blackstone is entangled with Don Pedro of Castile while the Prince of Wales’s position in Aquitaine grows more dangerous. It uses Bordeaux, Aquitaine and Castile to show how English intervention in Iberia could win a battle yet worsen the political position of the Black Prince, leaving men such as Blackstone to survive the consequences of royal ambition.
