Women of Troy

The Women of Troy sequence retells the Trojan War and its aftermath from the perspectives of women enslaved, displaced and silenced by the Greek victory. Beginning with Briseis in the final weeks of the Iliad, the novels continue through the fall of Troy and the return of Agamemnon, shifting attention from heroic reputation to captivity, grief, survival and revenge.

Across the sequence, mythic events are treated as the lived consequences of war. Briseis, Cassandra, Ritsa, Hecuba and Clytemnestra reveal how power operates in military camps, royal households and conquered communities, while the series follows the destruction of Troy into the violent homecomings of the Greek kings.
