Havoc’s Sword

by Dewey Lambdin Book 11 in the Alan Lewrie Naval Adventures series.

First published 2003

4.3(1,678)

In 1798, Alan Lewrie and HMS Proteus remain in the Caribbean, where a duel fought for a friend’s honour is only the first of several dangers. Foreign Office agents press him into a scheme against French interests just as relations with the newly created United States Navy become strategically important.

The mission also brings Lewrie back into conflict with Guillaume Choundas, an enemy formed by the violence of the French Revolution. Naval action, diplomacy and covert manipulation become inseparable as Lewrie tries to outwit Choundas without allowing British agents to sacrifice him for their wider plans.
