Book
The Captain’s Vengeance
First published 2004
In early 1799, a captured French prize disappears from its anchorage in Dominica together with six of Alan Lewrie’s sailors. Lewrie follows the trail through the Caribbean, uncertain whether the men are victims, deserters or accomplices in the theft.
The search leads from Hispaniola and Barbados to a brutal discovery in the Dry Tortugas and a pirate organisation protected by betrayal within Lewrie’s own circle. What begins as recovery of Crown property becomes a personal pursuit in which he intends to punish the men responsible for murder and treachery.
