While preparing for a royal coronation, Georgie receives a coded plea from her mother, who is being watched by German officials. Georgie and Darcy arrange for her to return to England as a coronation guest, but a government minder follows her to Eynsleigh and the household fills with visitors connected to the ceremony.
Darcy then learns of a threat against the royal gathering, and one of Georgie’s guests is found murdered in bed. The couple must uncover the killer, understand the German interest in Georgie’s mother and prevent an attack at Westminster Abbey while Georgie is unexpectedly drawn into the ceremony itself.
