Georgie and Darcy spend Christmas near Sandringham after Darcy’s aunt hints that the Queen wants Georgie close to the royal family. Wallis Simpson is also present, but Georgie soon learns that the Queen is less concerned with gossip than with several suspicious deaths and a shooting accident involving members of the royal household.
Georgie begins to suspect that the accidents are attempts to reach a royal target. Her discreet inquiries place Darcy in danger, and the couple must identify the killer before the holiday gathering provides another opportunity for an attack.
