Invasion of England and Deposition of Edward II

Isabella and Mortimer gathered support in the Low Countries and landed in England in September 1326. Edward II's government collapsed as nobles and towns joined the invasion.
Hugh Despenser the Younger and his father were executed. Edward abdicated in favour of his son Edward III and later died at Berkeley Castle in circumstances that remain debated.
The She-Wolf dramatises Isabella and Mortimer's alliance, the invasion and the fall of Edward II while adopting some later traditions about his death.
