Gold for Prince Charlie

Culloden has destroyed the Jacobite army, and Prince Charles Edward Stuart is a fugitive with a government reward on his head. Duncan MacGregor, great-nephew of Rob Roy, volunteers to join the small group guiding the prince through the Highlands towards escape, where capture can mean execution for everyone involved.

The danger does not end when Charles sails. French gold intended for the Jacobite cause is landed at the same place only a day later, creating a new contest over money that could sustain resistance—or enrich anyone ruthless enough to seize it. Duncan becomes responsible for hiding and recovering the treasure while government forces and opportunists close in. He is aided by Caroline Cameron, whose beauty is matched by independence and determination. The final Macgregor novel shifts from failed rebellion to flight, secrecy and survival, following a younger generation as it protects both the remnants of the Stuart cause and the honour of an outlawed clan.
