Book
Crusader’s War
First published 2026
The surviving pilgrims continue east after the siege of Nicaea. Odo’s conviction that he has been chosen by God develops into violent control over Sybille and those who question him, while Fulk tries to preserve his humanity and finds companionship with Guillemette.
The route through Anatolia and Syria brings starvation, disease and conflict inside the crusader camp before the army reaches Antioch and Jerusalem. The novel contrasts the promise of redemption with conquest and massacre, asking what kind of future can follow when the holy city is obtained at such human cost.
