A Death in Berlin

Berlin, 1940. Gang violence and organised vice flourish behind the protection of Nazi Party members, leaving Horst Schenke unable to treat a series of shootings as ordinary criminal work. His pursuit of the gang leaders exposes the compromises of colleagues and superiors, while his secret relationship with a Jewish woman gives the regime a weapon against them both. The investigation becomes a test of whether justice is possible when political power decides who may be prosecuted.
