Dhoondia Wagh was an Indian military adventurer who built a short-lived power base after the fall of Tipu Sultan. He gathered cavalry and supporters across Mysore and the Maratha frontier before being defeated and killed by forces commanded by Arthur Wellesley in 1800.
Dhoondia Wagh was born in Channagiri. A former soldier of Tipu Sultan, Dhoondia Wagh built an armed following in southern India after the fall of Seringapatam; Arthur Wellesley led the campaign that defeated and killed him at Conaghul in 1800.
