Erik’s Clan
Erik, the last Norseman of his original people still living in the New World, has built a family among the communities he has encountered there. When circumstances force them to abandon their home on the Patawomke River, the growing clan must travel north in search of safer country among peoples whose intentions they cannot predict.
The journey requires Erik to rely on navigation, diplomacy and knowledge learned over years far from Scandinavia. As children and new generations reshape the clan, survival depends increasingly on adaptation rather than conquest. The story explores a Norse family becoming rooted in an unfamiliar continent while retaining memories and customs from a world now far across the Atlantic.
