Blood of the Sons

By 1930 the Consentino brothers are caught between private revenge and a wider war among New York crime families. Sonny, Vico and Enzo continue searching for the man who killed their father, but every step into the underworld threatens the loyalties, romances and family bonds they are trying to preserve.

The book uses the world of Prohibition and the early Great Depression, when organised crime was becoming more professional, urban and politically entangled. The appearance of figures such as Lucky Luciano and Al Capone places the fictional Consentino family alongside the real gangland networks that reshaped American criminal power between the 1920s and 1930s.
