3 July 1848
The Battle of Sadusam was fought on 3 July 1848 near Multan. Herbert Edwardes, supported by allied forces from Bahawalpur and neighbouring districts, engaged troops loyal to Dewan Mulraj.
The defeat pushed Mulraj's field forces back towards the fortified city and strengthened the position of the improvised coalition opposing the rebellion.
Sadusam helped turn a dispersed uprising into a struggle centred on the defences and siege of Multan.
