Christian Hardy

The Christian Hardy series follows an English soldier and intelligence agent through the military and religious conflicts of the later sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. Blood Rock introduces Hardy during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565, where the Knights Hospitaller resist the Ottoman invasion and a traitor threatens the island’s defence. Realm sends him into the espionage struggle surrounding the Spanish Armada in 1588.

Later volumes Treason and Cradle continue Hardy’s service through the Gunpowder Plot and the early Jamestown settlement. Across the sequence, battlefield action is joined to clandestine investigation as Hardy works among diplomats, soldiers, religious factions and state intelligence networks whose rivalries can determine the survival of kingdoms and colonies.
