The Ring of Death

At one of Oscar Wilde’s Sunday supper clubs in London in 1892, the guests play a game in which each person writes down the name of someone they would most like to kill. The amusement turns sinister when the named people begin dying in the order in which their names were drawn.
Wilde and Arthur Conan Doyle realise that the murderer must understand both the game and the guests well enough to turn an evening’s indiscretion into a sequence of crimes. Their investigation becomes a closed-circle puzzle in which social intimacy provides opportunity, motive and a way for the killer to anticipate every move.
