Vagabond

After Crécy, Thomas of Hookton returns to England while continuing his search for the Holy Grail and the truth about his family. He is drawn into the Scottish invasion of 1346 and fights at the Battle of Neville’s Cross, where the English defeat and capture King David II of Scotland.

The pursuit then takes Thomas back to Brittany, where rival factions are fighting for La Roche-Derrien. The novel culminates in the siege and Battle of La Roche-Derrien in 1347, combining Thomas’s struggle against Guy Vexille and churchmen seeking the Grail with two major campaigns fought on opposite sides of the Channel.
