In late 1936, King Edward asks Darcy and Georgie to hide Wallis Simpson at Eynsleigh while he considers whether he can marry her and remain king. Georgie must keep their controversial guest out of sight while caring for her new baby and managing a crowded household.
The concealment becomes more difficult when a film company arrives to shoot a drama about Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn on the estate. After one of the actors is murdered, Georgie investigates the production while trying to prevent the crime and Wallis’s presence from becoming a combined royal scandal.
