The Trojan Murders

The Trojan Murders recast Odysseus as an investigator working with a young disabled rhapsode who observes and records the cases. Set during the legendary mobilisation for Troy, the mysteries treat heroic tradition as evidence to be questioned: Achilles must be found, sacrilege at Aulis must be explained and the fall of Lyrnessus must be tested for treachery.

The trilogy combines Bronze Age warfare and Homeric characters with the structure of detective fiction. Divine anger, prophecy and heroic reputation remain powerful because armies believe in them, but Odysseus repeatedly looks for human motives, hidden routes and material proof. The three supplied novels form a complete sequence.
