Roman Chronicles

The Roman Chronicles follow the fictional friends Prydain and Cassus as the invasion of AD 43 divides their loyalties and carries them through the first generation of Roman conquest. Their personal conflict unfolds alongside the campaigns of Claudius, Caratacus and Roman governors in Britain.

The trilogy advances from the initial landings to Caratacus's western resistance and the revolt led by Boudica in AD 60–61. Military service, tribal identity and revenge connect the three major stages of the story.
