Death In.

M. M. Kaye's six Death In… novels are independent romantic mysteries set in places she knew through travel and her husband's military postings. Published between 1953 and 1960, they move from Kashmir and occupied Berlin to Cyprus, Kenya, Zanzibar and the Andaman Islands, with a different young heroine and murder case in each book.

The series combines closed-circle detection, international intrigue and romance with detailed post-war settings. Later editions replaced the original titles with the consistent Death in… format, so each record retains its verified former title while using the best-known modern title.
