Knud Porse was a Danish nobleman who rose to power in Sweden and Norway through service and marriage. He became duke of Halland and married Ingeborg of Norway, placing him at the centre of Scandinavian regency and territorial politics.
Knud Porse was born in Varberg and died in Copenhagen. Porse rose in Scandinavian politics through service to Duke Eric and marriage to Ingeborg of Norway, widow of Duke Valdemar; he was created duke of Halland and became a significant magnate in the contested politics of Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
