John Tradescant the Younger

John Tradescant the Younger was an English gardener and collector who continued his father’s work in plant collecting and natural history. John Tradescant the Younger is generally dated to 1608–1662.

The Tradescant collection later became part of the Ashmolean Museum, linking private curiosity with the rise of public collections. John Tradescant the Younger was born in Kent and died in London Borough of Lambeth.
