It follows the diplomatic confrontation, the air campaign of Operation Desert Storm and the short ground offensive that expelled Iraqi forces from Kuwait. The book also considers Saddam Hussein’s regime, the role of the United Nations, regional politics and the war’s consequences for Iraq, the Gulf and later Western intervention in the Middle East.
