Peter Maxwell is not a fan of musicals to say the least. So, he is unimpressed to be supervising Leighford High’s upcoming production of Little Shop of Horrors. A horror it will be. But not just for Maxwell. Rehearsals are brought to a shuddering halt when a carelessly-placed ladder topples on top of a crew member — with fatal consequences.
Then a second body is discovered crumpled at the foot of a flight of stairs. The police dismiss the deaths as accidents. Maxwell is not convinced. But in going off script on his own investigation, Maxwell is thrust into the spotlight — and directly into the sights of a killer . . .
