Book
Killigrew and the Sea Devil
In 1855 Commander Kit Killigrew is framed for murder by Colonel Nekrasoff and forced into the Victorian underworld to avoid arrest. His attempt to clear his name becomes an undercover mission to St Petersburg, where a missing engineer may hold the key to a Russian secret weapon called the Sea Devil.
The investigation leads through espionage networks and military installations to the fortress of Sveaborg. Killigrew must identify the weapon, recover the engineer and expose the conspiracy while British and French forces prepare their attack on the Russian naval base during the final Baltic campaign of the Crimean War.
