Grounds for Appeal
First published 2011
Angela Bray returns to the Wye Valley laboratory while physician Priscilla Chambers remains with the consultancy and contributes her knowledge of anthropology. Their next investigation begins when a headless body with bound hands is recovered from a bog near the Welsh resort of Borth.
The condition of the remains makes identity, time of death and cause of death difficult to establish, and the findings soon affect a case already shaped by legal assumptions. Richard and his colleagues must produce evidence strong enough to challenge an accepted account and provide credible grounds for appeal.
