Sutton Place Trilogy

The Sutton Place Trilogy follows the fortunes of the families attached to the historic Surrey manor of Sutton Place, imagining a curse that begins in Anglo-Saxon England when Queen Edith condemns the land hunted by Edward the Confessor. Five centuries later the estate passes to the Weston family under Henry VIII, and the supernatural threat becomes entangled with Tudor ambition, the fall of Anne Boleyn and the execution of Francis Weston.

Across three novels the story moves through successive generations, carrying the curse into Jacobite intrigue and the wars of the early nineteenth century. Family inheritance, forbidden love and recurring supernatural signs connect people separated by centuries, while the real history of Sutton Place supplies the series with a fixed architectural centre. The trilogy treats the house itself as a witness to changing dynasties and loyalties, asking whether repeated catastrophe is coincidence, inherited fear or something genuinely attached to the estate.
