Hawks of Outremer
Hawks of Outremer is one of Howard’s Cormac FitzGeoffrey adventures, set in crusader Palestine, where the huge Norman-Irish warrior moves through ruined fortifications, shifting loyalties and relentless warfare. Outremer appears as a harsh military frontier where personal prowess, local knowledge and sudden violence matter as much as grand political causes.
Cormac is a larger-than-life protagonist, but the background is recognisably historical: fractured crusader power, Muslim resistance and the exposed geography of the Levant drive the action.
