The Daughters of Hampshire trilogy follows three women whose claims to identity, inheritance and professional respectability are threatened within Victorian England’s country houses and urban institutions. Each novel is self-contained, but all combine romantic suspense with Gothic secrets, disputed family histories and the legal vulnerability created by class and gender.

The series moves from the aftermath of the Indian Rebellion to a Hampshire legitimacy dispute and finally to the theatre and police world of 1883 London. Christian faith is tested through grief, distrust and moral danger, while the heroines use evidence, work and personal courage to resist the identities imposed on them.
