Eadric the Wild was an English landholder of the Welsh Marches who became one of the most persistent early opponents of Norman rule after 1066. Eadric the Wild is generally dated to fl. 1067–1070.
His estates lay around Herefordshire and Shropshire, where the expansion of Norman lordship and castle building threatened established local power. Eadric led one of the longest-lasting regional resistances to Norman expansion in the Welsh Marches during William I’s early reign.
