Book
The Great Secret
The final volume brings the struggle over the Tree of Life and the Osirian mystery to its conclusion. Iker, Senusret III and the guardians of Abydos face the last stages of a conflict in which spiritual knowledge, royal duty and the survival of Egypt have become inseparable. The novel resolves the series through the idea of resurrection, presenting the Great Secret as both a sacred truth and the answer to the conspiracy that has threatened the kingdom.
The conclusion places sacred kingship at the centre of the series’ political vision. Senusret’s survival alone is not enough if the religious order that legitimises his rule can be corrupted. Iker’s role links personal initiation with state restoration, allowing the final conflict to resolve both the mystery surrounding the Tree of Life and the question of what kind of ruler Egypt requires.
