Book
SAS Bravo Three Zero
First published 2021
During the 1991 Gulf War, an SAS patrol enters Iraq to locate and disrupt Scud missile operations and communications. The mission places the soldiers far beyond conventional support, where weather, navigation and contact with Iraqi forces threaten the patrol as seriously as the original objective.
Written with patrol commander Des Powell, the book reconstructs how Bravo Three Zero avoided the fate of other compromised teams and returned from enemy territory. The account concentrates on command decisions, movement discipline and the relationships that allowed a small group to remain coherent while hunted across the desert.
