A merchant vessel suspected of supporting a catastrophic terrorist attack approaches British waters, and a specialist naval assault force is ordered to seize it before the threat can reach its target. The SBS team must plan an opposed boarding with incomplete intelligence while MI5 and MI6 attempt to determine what the crew and cargo conceal.

The short military thriller uses the procedures and equipment of a maritime counterterrorist operation to create a compressed assault narrative. The characters and dramatic structure are fictional, although the operation resembles the Ocean Strike planning described in Lewis’s nonfiction account Bloody Heroes.
