My Hundred Days of War

August 1918. After the Allied breakthrough at Amiens, Major Malcolm MacPhail serves as a Canadian intelligence officer while the German army attempts to stabilise a collapsing front. The fighting has entered a faster and more fluid phase, but Malcolm's experience tells him that victory will still be paid for in exhausted units and friends lost during each advance.

Trouble at headquarters becomes almost as dangerous as the battlefield when captured German material goes missing and the nephew of an old enemy begins asking questions. Malcolm must deal with suspicion inside his own command while continuing to interpret an enemy retreat that may turn into another defensive stand. The novel follows Canada's Hundred Days through the tension between approaching victory and the knowledge that the war can still kill him before it ends.
