Mojag believes he is called to serve people outside the protected Christian towns, while Aiyana enters an English household and confronts suspicion directed at her ancestry.

King Philip’s War divides siblings and exposes Indigenous Christians to danger from both colonial and Native forces. The novel challenges the assumption that conversion requires cultural erasure and shows how colonial fear can make profession of faith irrelevant in the eyes of authorities.
