Agent Running in the Field

Nat, a veteran British intelligence officer nearing the end of his career, is assigned to run a neglected London substation focused on Russian activity. His routine changes when he begins playing badminton with Ed, an angry young man whose views on Brexit and Britain become increasingly intense.

As Nat's professional and family worlds converge, he discovers that the people around him are being observed and used by competing services. The novel places old-fashioned tradecraft inside a divided contemporary Britain where political conviction can be exploited as readily as greed or fear.
